In my twenties (around 2007), my friends and I were all at a similar fitness level. We trained hard and had decent physiques. Then, one friend started making unbelievable gains in strength and size. It became clear he was using steroids.
He pressured us to try them too. We eventually gave in, taking small doses. We were young and naive. Within a month, all of us saw significant gains, exceeding even our initial friend’s progress.
Here’s where things diverged.
Steroids: Three Choices, Three Outcomes …
“Story 1: My Choice:”
I broke my fingers and had to stop training for a while. When I recovered, I was determined to get back in shape naturally. It took time, but I felt better and stronger than ever. Now, in 2024, I’m still in great shape, using only supplements like protein powder, Creatine, Glutamine, etc.
“Story 2: My First Mate’s Path:“
My friend decided to continue using steroids, but cautiously. He researched extensively, consulted doctors, and sought advice from experienced bodybuilders. He still uses them today, in 2024, and maintains a fantastic physique.
“Story 3: My Second Mate’s Path:“
My other friend kept using steroids without any guidance. Initially, he gained incredible muscle mass, but it looked unnatural. His personality changed – he became aggressive and withdrawn. Sadly, he lost most of his gains and tragically passed away from a heart attack.
The Bottom Line …
Steroids can offer a quick path to a muscular body, but the risks are significant. My experience, and those of my friends, highlight this.
If you consider steroids, consult with a doctor and thoroughly research the potential consequences. In my view, the best results come from hard work, knowledge, and a healthy approach. Building genuine strength takes dedication, but the rewards are lasting – you’ll feel fantastic and establish a sustainable fitness routine for life.
